PET BLOWING MACHINES

Stretch blow molding machines

Stretch blow molding machines are used to produce bottles for carbonated beverages, water, juice, and other products. These machines use a process called stretch blow molding to manufacture bottles from PET resin.

The stretch blow molding process begins with the production of the preform, which is a small PET bottle with a narrow neck. The preform is injection molded using an injection molding machine. The preform is then cooled and transferred to the stretch blow molding machine.

In the stretch blow molding machine, the preform is placed into a heating oven where it is heated to a temperature of around 280°F (138°C). It is then transferred to the blow molding station where it is stretched using a rod and blown into the mold using high pressure air. The mold shapes the hot, stretched preform into the desired bottle shape. The bottle is then cooled and ejected from the mold.

There are two main types of stretch blow molding machines: single stage and two stage. Single stage machines produce the finished bottle in a single step, while two stage machines produce the preform in the first stage and the finished bottle in the second stage. Two stage machines are more energy efficient, but they are also more expensive and have a longer production time.

Injection blow molding machines

Injection blow molding machines are used to produce bottles for pharmaceuticals, personal care products, and other products that require precise dosing or small bottle sizes. These machines use a process called injection blow molding to manufacture bottles from PET resin.

In the injection blow molding process, molten PET resin is injected into a mold to create the bottle shape. The bottle is then cooled and ejected from the mold.

Injection blow molding machines are highly precise and can produce bottles with very tight tolerances. They are also able to produce small bottles with a high degree of accuracy. However, they are slower and more expensive than stretch blow molding machines.

Maintenance and upkeep

Proper maintenance and upkeep of PET blowing machines is important to ensure the quality and consistency of the finished bottles. This includes regularly cleaning and lubricating the machine, as well as performing regular maintenance tasks such as replacing worn parts.

It is also important to properly train operators on the safe and effective use of the machine. This includes proper handling of materials, proper use of safety equipment, and proper emergency procedures.
